音速の20倍時代に突入、極超音速兵器開発の全貌

　ここ数年、各国において極超音速兵器（Hypersonic Weapons）の開発が進んでいる。
　ハイパーソニックとはマッハ5以上の速度をいう。

　現在、極超音速兵器の開発で米・ロ・中が他の国をリードしている。
　それに続くのが豪、印、仏、独、日本である。

　大気圏内（地表から100キロ以内）を極超音速で飛行する兵器には、空力加熱から機体を保護する熱防御技術や超音速の気流を燃焼させるスクラムジェットエンジンの開発などの課題がある。

　そのため、実戦配備はまだ当分先になるとみられていたが、ロシアと中国は早ければ2020年には実戦配備することが見込まれている。

　一方、米国は、2010年4月にファルコン「HTV-2」の飛行テストに成功するなど極超音速兵器の開発でロシア・中国を凌駕していたが、これまで極超音速兵器の取得を目指さなかった。

　その理由は、米国はロシア・中国と異なり、極超音速兵器に核弾頭を搭載しないとしている。
　そのため、爆撃効果が小さい通常型極超音速兵器の必要性・有効性に関して議会などで議論がなされてきたためである。

　ところが、最近の極超音速兵器がもたらす戦略的脅威の増大を受け、米国防総省と米議会は、極超音速兵器システムの開発および今後短期間に配備することに強い関心を示している。

あっ！って言ってる間にもう着弾してるんだよな
携行型対陣地ミサイルの映像見たことあるけど
発射から着弾までが早すぎてビックリ
それは音速兵器じゃないんだけど凄いスピードだよ
